This is the Ticket to Ride game that takes place in America. This is THE wildly popular Ticket to Ride which has been introducing families around the world to the idea of Euro Games. I love Ticket to Ride because of the decent amount of strategy, the game play is fun, and I just like games that use a map. I am also happy that Days of Wonder has not cheapened the game by making the game components less quality.

The rule book is somewhat lengthy and if you are learning the game on your own, from the rulebook only, you may feel a little overwhelmed. However, there are TONS of videos out there that will walk you through the basic game. There are also many expansions that are really worth the money after you have mastered one of the base games: Ticket to Ride USA, Ticket to Ride Europe or Ticket to Ride Nordic Countries. The USA or Europe base game is required for any of the expansions to work.

The 15th Anniversary Special Edition features 5 exclusive sets of clear plastic trains and a 4 page retrospective booklet featuring the history and creation of the game.

Ticket to Ride USA is NOT an expansion and CAN be played without the need for any other game versions!!
