This is the European version of Ticket to Ride. It features a map of Europe, and destination points between major cities on that great content. This version is played very similarly to the US version however, Europe includes ferries, tunnels and train stations. Ferries require one or two wild cards to accompany the purchase of a route and a tunnel can cause a player to have to spend up to three extra cards in order to purchase the desired line. The train stations enable players to borrow a route that is occupied by another player in order to still reach a destination.

As with all the Ticket to Ride games, the rule book is somewhat lengthy and if you are learning the game on your own, from the rulebook only, you may feel a little overwhelmed. However, there are TONS of videos out there that will walk you through the basic game. There are also many expansions that are really worth the money after you have mastered one of the base games: Ticket to Ride USA, Ticket to Ride Europe or Ticket to Ride Nordic Countries. The USA or Europe base game is required for any of the expansions to work.

Ticket to Ride Europe is NOT an expansion and CAN be played without the need for any other game versions!!
